Casting Information and Process
At Zoe Green Castings we create beautifully crafted, high-quality casts of baby hands and feet in bronze, silver, gold, glass and plaster. We can come to your home to take the casts at a time to suit you and your baby or you can visit us.
Casting Your Baby
After reviewing samples and once you have decided on which medium you would like, casts of your baby’s hands or feet (or both) are taken using a casting liquid. The liquid is perfectly safe for babies and children and captures every intricate and unique detail of their hands and feet. Appointments for the casting process are booked at a time that is convenient for you and your little one. The total appointment time is around 25-30 minutes, depending on how many hands and feet you want casting. However, the casting part of the process is only a matter of minuets.
Lead Times
Bronze casts will be ready approximately 20-25 working weeks from the casting process and confirmation and payment for your order. If you have a deadline, please let us know and we will try our hardest to meet it. Metal plating may take an extra 2-3 working weeks. Glass and plaster items take around 8-12 weeks from confirmation of order and casting date. Please be aware that engraving may take an extra 2-3 working weeks.
Travel and Delivery
If you are based within the M25 there is no charge for us to come to your home, if you are based outside of the M25 we ask that reasonable travel expenses are covered by the client. We cover the Bath and Bristol area around every 6 weeks. We also offer a remote service for clients who live further afield. Packaged in an elegant presentation box, the finished article can be collected or delivered (by courier) to your home or work address at an extra charge. Payment
Payment in full is required at the time of order confirmation. Please note that if no order is made at the time of casting, a casting fee of £100 will be charged to cover our time and casting materials.
